I looked really hard for a good Monet engagement calendar this year and this was the best one I could find. But there aren't that many pictures and not much room to write things for each day, so I'm not that happy with it.
It has the right space to write on each day, so it works... but why do I say " so, so" I was expecting, like other calendars I had in previous years, where each page you open, you had in one side a week's worth of days and on the other side a beautiful pic of a painting. This Monet calendar only has one each month, so you will not see a painting in your Calendar, but once in a while. So enjoy it the week that a painting is there to contemplate because most of the time is not. So what is the point than on buying a calendar with pics of art?...
This is a beautiful large calendar made by the only company I've found that produces art calendars this big. The stock is heavy and the printing is high quality. Some Americans might not like the fact that it doesn't have the traditional 7-day layout.
The teNeues calendars are of very good quality and design, and I have purchased them for several years. The artistic content is excellent and the calendar format meets my needs. The paper stock quality is very good, and the spiral binding is sturdy and easy to turn pages.
They place pictures several weeks apart. Last time I ordered a weekly engagement calendar there was a different picture for each new week. Not so here. It goes from January 27 to March 23 without any pictures and continues on that way throughout the calendar year; maybe one or two pictures inserted per month. So dissapointed! It's not worth the hassle to return but I will be ordering a new one from elsewhere.
Have already contacted the company about including "meaningless" information on pages. Internation Clothing & Shoe sizes. 4 pages wasted for you to list anniversary and birthdays. I mean isn't that what the calendar is for. A favorite store page for you to put name,phone and address of your favorite store. A page to list your favorite website (dumb). 2 pages to list gift ideas (really stupid). 6 To do list pages. 6 perforated pages (into 9 little pieces) to jot things down then tear them out! Lots of silly wasted space! I prefer that instead of all of this wasted space they include simple lined pages ( to journal in as they used to do). Also a tear out 2014 calendar! What for?
I willnot purchase another te Neues engagment calendar, if they continue with this "wasted page" format
This is a fabulous way to keep track of your daily appointments. I do enjoy the pictures of the Monet paintings, and there is plenty of room to write, with the week-a-page format, as well as the pages to keep track of birthdays, and to make notes. The large binding makes it move smoothly, and easily, as well. I like the thick plastic pages on the front and back, that protect the coverings. All around, a great calendar. I would recommend this to anyone who likes an engagement calendar.
I've been buying this teNeues engagement calendar for about 10 years, and I'm very disappointed with the 2014 version. There used to be a picture on every other page (i.e. every other week), but now there are only two pictures about every eight weeks. The whole point of me buying the calendar was to see one of Monet's paintings every week (or every other) when I looked at my calendar, and now I will have to wait two months. I find that unacceptable. I'd gladly spend an extra $5 to have more pictures in the calendar...and higher quality paper. The pages are much thinner than they used to be - no more sturdy paper. Now the corners curl curl up and don't lay flat. I would have returned this product if I hadn't already written in birthdays and anniversaries through March. Now I'm stuck with it...or I have to go find a new one. This is a bad move teNeues. I won't be back.
